At Mueblin Ltd, we aim to provide a reliable and straightforward delivery service for our handmade furniture. This policy explains our delivery areas, estimated delivery times, delivery arrangements, access requirements and what happens if a delivery is delayed, missed or arrives damaged.

1. About Us

2. Delivery Areas

We currently deliver to eligible addresses within the United Kingdom.

Delivery availability may vary depending on the product, delivery address and accessibility of the location.

Deliveries to certain remote, offshore or difficult-to-access locations, including some areas of the Scottish Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland, may require additional arrangements or charges.

If you are unsure whether we can deliver to your address, please contact us before placing your order.

3. Delivery Costs

Where free delivery is advertised, it applies to eligible delivery areas and products subject to any restrictions clearly stated on our website or during checkout.

Additional charges may apply to remote, offshore or other locations requiring special delivery arrangements.

Any delivery charge payable by you will be communicated before your order is completed or, where a special delivery arrangement is required, agreed with you before that service is provided.

4. Estimated Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times vary depending on whether the product is made to order or already in stock.

  • Made-to-order furniture: normally approximately 4โ€“8 weeks.
  • In-stock products: normally approximately 7โ€“14 working days.

The estimated delivery period shown when you order forms part of your delivery information and may vary depending on production requirements, location and other circumstances.

Because many Mueblin sofas are handmade to order, manufacturing times can occasionally vary.

We will take reasonable steps to keep you informed if we become aware of a significant delay.

5. Delivery Dates & Time Slots

Once your order is ready for delivery, we or our delivery partner will normally contact you to arrange or confirm a suitable delivery date.

A delivery time slot may also be provided where available.

Delivery time slots are estimates and can occasionally be affected by traffic, weather, previous deliveries or other circumstances outside the delivery team’s reasonable control.

Please ensure that the telephone number and email address provided with your order remain accurate so that we can contact you about delivery.

6. Large Furniture Delivery

Large furniture such as sofas will normally be delivered using an appropriate furniture delivery service and may be handled by a two-person delivery team.

Unless another service has been specifically agreed, delivery is made according to the delivery service stated or arranged for your order.

If you require delivery above ground floor level, delivery through restricted access, or another special arrangement, please contact us before delivery so that we can confirm whether this can be accommodated.

Additional charges may apply to services outside the standard delivery service where these have been agreed in advance.

7. Access to Your Property

It is important to check that your furniture will fit through all required access points before placing your order.

Please measure, where relevant:

  • External and internal doorways.
  • Hallways and corridors.
  • Staircases and landings.
  • Lifts.
  • Gates and entrances.
  • Tight corners and turns.
  • The intended room and final furniture position.

Please also tell us about any access restrictions that may affect delivery, including narrow roads, parking restrictions, stairs or difficult entrances.

Our delivery team will not be required to attempt a delivery where doing so would reasonably risk injury, damage to the furniture, damage to the property or unsafe working conditions.

8. Incorrect Measurements or Insufficient Access

If delivery cannot be completed because the furniture does not fit through the available access, or because material access information was not provided to us, we will discuss the available options with you.

Reasonable redelivery, storage, collection or other additional costs may apply where a failed delivery results from circumstances within the customer’s reasonable control.

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

9. Missed Deliveries

Please ensure that an adult is available to accept the delivery at the agreed location and time.

If delivery has been arranged and nobody is available to receive the order, or delivery cannot take place because suitable access has not been provided, a reasonable redelivery charge may apply.

We will inform you of any applicable charge before arranging the replacement delivery.

10. Inspecting Your Furniture on Delivery

We recommend inspecting the furniture as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Where practical, please check the packaging and visible parts of the product for obvious signs of damage before or shortly after accepting delivery.

If you notice visible damage, please tell the delivery team where possible and take photographs of the damage and packaging.

11. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If your furniture arrives damaged, faulty or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at cs@mueblin.co.uk.

We recommend reporting visible delivery damage within 48 hours where possible, as this helps us investigate the issue quickly with the delivery provider.

The 48-hour reporting request does not remove or reduce your statutory consumer rights.

When contacting us, please provide where possible:

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Photographs showing the damage or fault.
  • Photographs of the packaging where relevant.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, an appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, collection, price reduction or refund.

12. Risk During Delivery

We remain responsible for the goods while they are being delivered using a carrier arranged or offered by us.

Risk of accidental loss or damage normally passes to you when you, or another person identified by you to receive the goods, takes physical possession of them.

Different rules may apply where you independently arrange a carrier that was not offered by us.

13. Delivery Delays

We aim to deliver within the delivery period agreed when you place your order.

Occasionally delays can occur due to circumstances such as:

  • Manufacturing or material delays.
  • Severe weather.
  • Transport or courier disruption.
  • Supplier interruption.
  • Road closures or access problems.
  • Events outside our reasonable control.

If a significant delay occurs, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and provide an updated delivery estimate where possible.

14. Your Rights if Delivery Is Late

Where an agreed delivery period applies, we aim to deliver within that period.

Where no delivery time or period has been agreed, consumer law generally requires goods to be delivered without undue delay and normally within 30 days of the contract being made.

If we fail to deliver within an applicable agreed period, you may have the right to require delivery within an additional reasonable period.

If we then fail to deliver within that additional period, you may have the right to end the contract and receive the appropriate refund.

In certain circumstances, including where delivery by a particular date was essential and this was made clear before the contract was entered into, you may have the right to end the contract without providing an additional delivery period.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.

15. Order Tracking

Where tracking is available, tracking information may be sent once your order has been dispatched.

For large furniture deliveries, traditional parcel tracking may not always be available. Instead, the delivery provider may contact you directly to arrange and confirm delivery.

16. Changing Your Delivery Address

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change the delivery address associated with your order.

We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has been dispatched or allocated to a delivery route.

Additional delivery costs may apply if an address change results in additional transport or delivery requirements. Any such cost will be communicated before the change is agreed.

17. Delivery to Another Person

You may nominate another responsible adult to accept delivery on your behalf, subject to any verification requirements that may reasonably apply.

Delivery to that nominated person at the agreed delivery address will normally be treated as delivery to you.

18. Returns After Delivery

Delivery and return arrangements are separate matters.

If you wish to return an item after delivery, please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

Your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged, incorrect or eligible cancelled orders are unaffected.

19. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Shipping & Delivery Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our delivery services, business practices or legal requirements.

The delivery terms applicable to an order will generally be those communicated when the order was placed, subject to mandatory consumer law.
